on a Kirby transmission? I just replaced one in a Gsix and it almost goes backwards without touching it. I have adjusted the two hex head screws on the back of the transmission itself, but that also reduced the total amount of assist in addition to the F/R bias.

Any help is much appreciated.

Ahh, Found It!

The pivot assembly Torx screws had the effect I was looking for. Along with changing the transmission, the brushroll was upgraded to the newer, stiffer bristles and that also affected my final adjustments. The original, softer bristles don't pull the vacuum forward at all, while the stiffer brushroll actually makes the Gsix have a forward pull, but only while actually vacuuming carpet. Interesting trade-off.
