Sunday 6PM.
Home in Stratford to remnants of yesterday's snow dusting the lawns. Don't have anything to shovel, even.
Arriving in Buffalo I went to my favorite Train & Hobby shop...and found miniature cast metal coffee can Hoovers with a black cloth bag. About 3" high. Snatched all three off the hook. pix later of all the other miniatures they stock - amazing. Toasters, blenders, a box of Kleenex, washers and dryers...even a tiny MixMaster.
Watched the Lionel & HO model trains for a while then wandered into the plastic model section. Had no choice but to buy Uncle Martin's spaceship and the copper plated War Of The Worlds War Machine.
Bought my last tank of gas and sprang for the Car Wash. WOW! Best car & hand dry I've ever experienced. They use an air hose to blow water out of the seams around windows and mirrors and softcloth-dry...after you pass through the touch-less auto-washer.
Through the border in 4.5 minutes. Welcome back to Canada at 1PM.
Something I pass by all the time and never visited - I went to the Hamilton Wartime Heritage Airplane Museum. Lots of pictures.
car, which is as clean as it became in Buffalo, is half emptied and in the garage - s'posed to rain tomorrow. Good day for the final postings to this thread.
