American Companies take back manufacturing in 22'

I'd like to see more American Companies owing the legacy brands that we have. Eureka, Hoover, Royal, Oreck and others back in the hands of the country that brought them to market. I'd like to see a valid Kirby competitor, yet I am also anxious to see what the new owners do with the Kirby Company as it exists today.

Interested to see what Bissell does with the Sanitaire Company.

The metal Royal uprights were a valid competitor to Kirby. I have several, and my 8300 model sucks up what's on the carpet, in the carpet, and under the carpet. I like them just as much as my Kirbys. It's a shame that TTi took over Royals and discontinued them.

Better colors….

For the Aerus Lux Legacy and Lux Classic. That black and dark gray is so drab and hideous to me. The platinum is now charcoal and white. I don’t need white per se…perhaps two tone peppier grays like the Silverado series had. They seem to have exhausted the coloring scheme. Maybe a light gray body with white trim would be fresh. I just need to be a consultant for Aerus at this point. They need to up the anti on advertising!

Hope Miele will come out with a new line of canisters that has a top-side cord reel (like the old Vorwerks and Eureka Rallys) and a nice big power pedal on the front bottom like the old Eureka Empress cleaner.

I’d like to see a few things. The first would be for Numatic to make an upright vacuum. It would also be nice if they introduced a canister with a power nozzle like the Henry hound had. I feel that either one of these products would make them sell better here in the U.S. Another thing I’d like to see would be a Sebo X or G series upright with the ability to turn off the brush roller. Last but certainly not least, I would love it if Aerus Electrolux would reintroduce a metal bodied canister like the 1205, but with a more powerful modern motor.

This may be a controversial thing to mention…

But I’ve heard from several different sources that say they caught wind of some kind of all new Kirby model mentioned by some Kirby Reps recently. I don’t know if this is true or not, and I’m not going to take any of it seriously until further notice. But I just thought it was interesting to hear this nonetheless.

Yeah I bet it is for attention but we could be completely wrong I just we don’t have to wait ages and ages to find out

Watch it be another recolored sentria, I mean avalir. If you think of the past 20 years+ specifically, has anyone ever notice that whenever kirby releases a "new model" then rexair releases a new one the following year and vice versa. I'm dying to hear what this new kirby is suppose to be. I'm also curious to what names they'll come up with for future models.

@kirbycollector

Can you share what you've heard of about this supposably new model? if anything at all.

If kirby does release a new model, let alone a new platform I do hope they bring back the video owners manual. When they did away with that and made those short clips videos I thought those were pointless and useless. I like the video manuals better.

All I’ve heard is that it’ll be an all new model that will be different than the G series. That it’ll be what the next several models in the coming years will be based off of. I’ve also read something about there being long lasting cogged belts and such. If all this is indeed true, I’m very interested to see how it’ll be.

Interesting! Although yikes about the cogged belts, jam the roller once even for a couple seconds and either the motor jams up or the belt is destroyed. I'd like to see something like Kenmore's powerhead belts, which have vertical grooves. That way if it jams, it will take a lot longer to burn out than a flat one.

This is very interesting. Can someone explain to me what a cogged belt is? I also do hope they reworked the accessories, especially the shampoo system. I say that because it’s to wide and bulky to get into hard to reach spaces with, especially the avalir version. I also do hope they work on the acoustics because Kirby’s are way too loud, especially in canister mode. With this news getting out, I do hope they “launch” it soon.

Interesting. Now im curious to when they’ll launch this supposedly new model. I say that because avalir 2 (really sentria 4) has been out for almost 4 years now. I believe next month will mark the 4 year anniversary. I also do wonder how Kirby plans on launching this new model.

The real question is when? I mean if word is already getting out about it then they might wanna do something soon. Yeah but when kirby launches a new model their kind of hush hush about it till it gets out on the web. Hell thats how I found out about the avalir 2, which was on here. The same can be said about the avalir and sentria 2. When I found out about the original sentria it was via ebay back in 2006 when it had first launched. The point I'm trying to make is that kirby doesn't really do any launch type videos and pics and if they do its typically for some sort of event. Granted if this is supposably a new platform/design then yeah I can see them doing some sort of launch video. Granted they might do what they did with the G3 and show a short lauch clip within the owners manual video (Hopefully they'll have one for this model). Hopefully this model will address the following things that I would like to see:
1. ditch the sentria look
2. reduce the acoustics
3. scale down the size of the shampoo system.
4. scale down the weight, because it will be benefitcal if using it in the portable mode.
5. no more black, or grey color schemes
6. launch new optional accessories and make em stick around (in reference to them getting rid of the sentria handi butler not even a year after it was launch)
7. Bring back the videos owner manual, but take time mentioning things and not rushing through it (referring to both sentria 2 and the avalir's videos manual.

Another thought for a new Kirby-----Go CORDLESS-with modern battery and motor tech this could be possible!I am also for the return of the video manual on a DVD-just about everybody has a DVD player of some sort or one in their computers. Also in the DVD-DITCH the ugly furnishings you see in the last one Kirby made.If SkilSaw can make a cordless battery powered worm drive circular saw-I think a similar motor could be used in a vacuum. The Skil brushless motor can develop over 1800W-more than the plug in model.!!!The saw runs from a special 48V lithium battery.Indeed the saw is a BEAST!!!Have one!
