That's as bad as those morons on eBay who list their Kirby Dual 80's and other old models for $1000 or more. Trying to show it off, but will never sell.
Is this thing a real vacuum? It looks like a toy. What was Dyson thinking? With the overuse of primary colors here it looks like it should come in a box labeled Fisher Price or Playskool.
Ignorance is bliss isn't it? I bet if the Dyson was coloured with a 20th Century great American artist, everyone would fall over themselves to buy it.
The whole purpose of the "Fisher Price" vacuum as you call it is following the great De Stijl colour movement. Hence why Dyson called this model "De Stijl" It pays homage to the artistic movement founded by Theo Van Doesburg. The colours are used on squares, triangles etc to boost the picture from within, or rather boost a particular design.
It is a real vacuum. Limited edition. De stijl is Dutch for The Style. We had two of these red, purple and yellow dc01's. Pretty good for dysons first vacuum.
