We had tons of those in Europe ! The Vorwerk WK117 is probably the best stick-vacuum EVER ! Very light and powerful ( and quite expensive in its day ! )
It is a very well known icon here, as almost every household used to have one of those ready-to-use machines parked near the broom for at least 3 decades.
The 117 dates back to the 70's.
Collector TOMMYMILAN ( Milano ) has a crazy number of Vorwerk-vacuums and probably can give great info about this small wonder !
