Hi Folks,
I browsed the whole internet to find answers to my current problem with my 19 year old CYCLOVAC DL200 (240V Version). Here is what I did recently:
- one of the motors failed suddenly so I decided to replace both of them
- when trying to turn on the vacuum cleaner the engines run for a second and the circuit breaker of my house installations releases
- I installed an external inrush current limiter to my socket and everything worked fine for about two weeks
- today suddenly the vacuum does not run anymore, when turning on the motors run for a second or so and all you hear is a contnious clicking noise of the relay
What I tried was:
- only connecting one motor ==> no difference, still clicking relay
- measuring output voltage on the electronic board ==>235V, okay
Any ideas what might be wrong? Can the relay be defect or rather other electronic parts on the board? Since both motors are always start running for a second when the vacuum is turned on I would guess the engines are okay?
Any help is appreciated,
thanks Tom
