We may have actually met about 17 years ago, as the VCCC had their 2008 Convention in Canton, with a big part of it taking place at Hoover Park and the Hoover Historical Center in celebration of Hoover's 100th Birthday.
Your Grandmother's model 94 Electro-Hygiene is a pre-war machine and would have been built between either 1937 or 38 through 1942, when all (or most) US manufacturers switched over for production of war equipment and materials. I am also in Ohio, having grown up in Mansfield and living in Galion since 1981.
