Vintage Vacuums you LUST AFTER!!!!

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

And finally, to round out my ideal fantasy recreation of my childhood vacuum world, I would love to have a dark green General Electric floor polisher, circa late 1950's! It would have to have the words "General Electric" on the front of the motor hood, not on the top or on the top corner edge. Grey rubber handle grip and dark green matching cord, with cooling vents on either side of the main motor hood.

I remember that the lamb's wool buffing pads had snaps which had the GE logo on them!

Hey Gary - so cool that you had the same polisher! And we were born only 2 days apart, remember?

I have to plan to come up and visit you (and the Eureka Upright) one weekend! Would love to test drive that beautiful Eureka Empress II FastVac!

Have a great weekend!

Almost Complete!

I already have most of the vacuums I want and then some, but there are a few I'm still looking for. They include a Hoover 150, AirWay 66, Silver King (don't know what model number, but it MUST be a green one), Westinghouse tank, Westinghouse big wheel canister, Galaxy Prestige 990, and a pre-war Electro-Hygiene tank. Don't know the model number of the EH tank, but it looks similar to a Royalaire 186, except that it would be blue and have the exclusive EH crystal chamber on the front cover.
However, I'm not in any big hurry on any of these, as I need to "thin the herd" before I add anything. Might be willing to make a trade, though.

A couple that I have been looking for forever...

would be the elusive Hoover Model 27, for sure, and also a Hoover Model 60. Seems like I have never seen any pictures of a 27 "in the flesh", even on here!

@hygiene903:

Before I email you, I must mention that I am not a paid member of the VCCC, therefore, I am not allowed to purchase them directly through the VCCC. Which models do you have, and could you post some pictures of them please? Thank you!

Also, if you have any Eureka or Kirby Uprights, I would like to see pictures of them too, in addition to the Hoovers.

I will Post a Thread for you later, I am actually doing some Work to the Turquoise Eureka right now... ;-) Like most Blender Motor Eurekas, the Hood Rattles when the Beater-Bars hit the Carpeting and because it Annoys me, lol, I'm trying to Fix that, but like I said, it Runs like NEW, just used it actually in my Kitchen... ;-) If you want to see it right now, look up my same Name here on YouTube and you'll see a Video of it Running and all!! :-D The other Eureka is in a Box in my Basement, lol, so I may not get the Photos up till Tomorrow.

I will at least get Pictures Posted for you of the Turquoise Eureka, but I have to wait till my Mom goes to Work before I'll have time to take and Post Pictures of it and you may have to wait a Day or so for Pictures of the Blue and White Eureka, because I Dismantled it in my Basement, lost some of it's Parts, lol and have to Clean it a bit first, but I'll get up Pics of at least one Tonight and I have to Ship them both separate anyway, so if you want the Turquoise one, you can Buy or Trade me something for it now, I'll send it and when I get Pics up of the other one, if you want that one as well, then it will be sent to you... ;-)

I'm not gonna do like most ebay A-Holes and try to stuff both in one Box to save on Shipping, believe me, ebay Sellers have done that to me and it never ends well. :-(
