fantastic!

Mike its great to see the luxes in all their glory like that and spot the differences... thats the first 65 ive seen with a metal cover was that the first batch then still using a metal one?

rug nozzle

yea Mike according to the literature off Walter the Trident 156 came with a carpet nozzle like the one youve given it but with a smaller thread-picker head part.. a separate floor brush, white crevice,(and end brush), dual dusting/upholstry tool, sprayer and single extension tube as you have the longer hose handle

vapouriser thread

Mike am i right in thinking only the 55 out of those has the thread on the filter cover to take the vapouriser? and the 62 and 65 dont? you also have a z30 dont you i bet that has it?

Rug nozzle cont ....

My recollection from the blue trident, was that the tools were similar to those used on the 62 in the UK, and on various models overseas, particularly in Australia for some reason. The tools were in white.
Although the 64 has separate tools, they were NOT the same. Here are the tools from the 62, the Trident has a smaller, more convential white plastic dusting brush. The late model 55 had a similar looking carpet nozzle, but apparently in metal

Vaporisers

Although vapourisers were supplied by other manufacturers (Vactric & Bylock) I have checked all three of my Lux 55 manuals and none of them make any mention of a vapouriser, nor does the 62 manual. Pehaps with the ball bearing lock fitting of the hose, it was not possible to fit a vapouriser which would presumably meed a thread fitting

Hey Al:

The models 30 and 55 both had the threads on the back cover to take the vaporizer but the 62 did away with it. Most places (Europe, Canada etc) it was supplied with the machine but, from what I can tell it was an optional accessory in England. I would suspect that, since the 62 came out with the new style attachments the vaporizer that was available for it was the same style that the later Canadian machines used (It hooked onto the end of the hose as opposed to the end of the machine and the hose hooking into it).

This is a picture of my Swedish model 30 which I traded with Edgar for (Thanks again Edgar). The vaporizer is beside the dusting brush. I've recently bought the sprayer for it on ebay so, if I could only find the crevice tool and manual it would be pretty much complete.

PS - anyone else want to trade for some Canadian Machines :) ??

Hey guys:

Time for me to do some begging again. Anyone have any of these parts they'd like to trade for Canadian stuff?

To finish the machines I have I need the following (I'd settle for a scan of the books):

Electrolux model 25 - vaporizer, sprayer and book

Electrolux model 30 - crevice tool, book

Electrolux model 90 (sage green) - rug nozzle, crevice tool, book

Electrolux model 330 (charcoal grey)- dusting brush, brush for crevice tool, book

Dometic upright model 505 (mustard yellow) - rug/floor nozzle, crevice tool

Volta 155 (very dark brown) - rug nozzle, dusting brush, crevice tool and brush head

Goblin Triumph G46 - lower wand, felt floor tool, crevice tool, small nozzle, book

Thanks for the help
Doug

Hi there thanks. I am up to a good 70 at the moment a lot of cleaner that are still not an my site. and you? The volta makes exact the same sound as the electrolux 301.

electrolux z65

I i have an electrolux z65 it has the lower serial number starts with oo then numbers.
It also has the aluminium polished back plate for the exhaust. I assume this is early 1960s would anyone know the answer to this .
I have seen an advertising pic which the lady using it looks to be early 60s about the same period of the senior 652 pink and white one, could the z65 be the same age im wondering

Z65 with metal exhaust/ filter holder assemblY

.......1960 until circa 1964?

I can actually remember the later model with the plastic cream coloured rear assembly being demonstrated in the electricity board showroom in Glasgow...that would have been around 1965/6?

Regards,

Walter.
