Thoughts on the Dyson DC25.

That's great let's just agree that they clean about the same the DC 41 does have better Cyclone technology

Well obviously Dyson didn't feel the brushbar was aggressive enough on their DC41 which is why they then brought out the DC65 in the US, Canada and Australia etc.

I too prefer a DC25 over a DC41 any day. The DC25 has proven to be very popular which is why they still sell it today.

Do not like the flimsy thin plasticky build quality on any of the DC40s DC41's or DC50's. I feel the DC25 is better in this category. I'm glad the DC25 is still available, though I don't need one. Whatever your preference, just enjoy it. We all like a particular machine or design.

Thanks for all the replies. I'd rather the DC25 to be honest because it has the metal extension wand & it is also cheaper than the newer models.

I found his in B&M bargains, the DC25i

That's a great looking offer hi-lowswitch98!

I too like the aluminium wand on the DC25, really not a fan of the plastic ones on the latest machines. I keep on about it I know, but they feel so cheap and tacky, but I suppose it's the way things are going.

I hope you enjoy many years use from the DC25. I got the DC24 because of its small size. It worked well in a 3 bedroomed family home with 3 adjust and 1 young teenager.

I now live in a flat share and vacuum my large bedroom, the hallway, bathroom, kitchen and living room and is fine. The DC25 would have been the choice for me if the DC24 wasn't available at the time.

It would just be nice to try a different Dyson really, & it would be my first brand new one, but thanks anyway, I hope to get years of use out of the DC25.

I would happily throw my DC14 around and be confident it won't break :)
How many DC14's do you see with cracked plastics?

Owning both the dc25 and the dc41 I can tell you the dc25 has much stiffer bristles due to the fact that the packs in the dc25 are thicker in circumference,. Both clean well but I prefer the dc25. My only complaint about it is the bin capacity been too small. I would have liked a dc14 size bin on the dc25. Its ability to pick up pet hair and lift the carpet pile is fantastic.

One of my favorite machines.

I fought the DC 40 was your favourite anyone seen the performance on the DC 25 Rogers video

got to 25:41

Those videos don't really mean very much. Ask the question about the durbility after a few uses.

But if you want to see the videos of the older models, please see below. I see a DC24 on there. If this had been how the DC24 was tested then I wonder why the parts have broken over the years and the plastic seems thicker on the DC24 compared to what is available today.
