The Kirby S/F vacuette special???

I have never heard of a vacuette special. What made it different from earlier model Cs?


The bag says vacuette special too. It's a cream colored bag with yellow lettering.

This is an upright. It's the wireless model.

Ok I see well that's just awesome so the wheels would power a turbine or fan? Did it have a brush roll and what year? Zach

It's from around 1921. I can't read the last patent. I don't have possession of the machine yet.


This is Chad C.s from Kansas city. It came from Jim kirbys personal collection.


It is turbine driven from the rear wheels.


The brush roll is geared by two wheels On each side of the nozzle

The difference between these and other model C's are that its not electric AT ALL.

The wheels power the fan. Its "friction powered". They do generate quite a bit of suction, surprisingly! Youll notice that as you push it across the floor that the bag actually will inflate.

Theyre quite rare birds!

This scott ane fetzer is different from a Kirby c series machine. The electric version of the Scott and fetzer machines were not c models. Rather something like J.

The c series branded as Kirby came quite a bit later than this.

It was said a lot of these vacuums were sold in the non-electric farming areas-before Rural electrification programs came to those areas-radios were battery powered from rechargeable batteries the radio owner took to a gas or "service" station to be recharged when they ran down.
