Early Kirby Generation 3

Here is this extremely early Kirby Generation 3. It’s from February 1990. Serial number is 6 90 02 00680. The handle, base pan, cord, and inner motor components are all dated 1989. So this Kirby is arguably a 1989 Generation 3 just about. This is by far, the earliest example of a Generation 3 I’ve ever seen. Would anyone happen to have any info on earlier ones? Have you seen such examples? And what was different about them? I would love to know! Thanks.
