Does anyone out there in Vacuum Land know where to get parts for the commercial Kirbys like the Super Vac 180 that I have or American Lincoln? Does anyone out there HAVE any of these special machines? I bought mine yesterday, and love it. I'm looking for a replacement brush roller, longer cord (25 feet is just not long enough), outer bag and bag top. Any help would be nice.
Thanks a ton.

well I called Kirby one time about mine ( I need the belt cap )
and they said nothing was made for it anymore. I have not found any generic parts out there yet. Kirby didn't really want to talk about those. The lady I talked to said they were a huge dissapointment.

Yeah, thats the problem with owning one of those,,there are no parts avalible at all, period. Ive heard of people taking old brushrolls to a specialized woodworker that could copy it, but good luck finding someone like that now. You would think Kirby would at least still make the basic parts for rebuilding those machines. Evidently they are so rare now that it just dosent pay for anyone to make parts for them.

I had an American Lincoln that I sold. Thought I had photos of it but can't find them.

It was pretty hideous -- looked like a Sanitronic with an extra-long permanently-attached nozzle, painted dark blue wrinkle finish. The handle insert was red, white and blue, and the bag (no sani-emptor) was white vinyl.

Super vac

Hi All I all have the Supervac we call it the July fourth special ( Red White Blue(. i used it in a church where i worked part time for several years. then got the Heritage2 then the G3. I must say it worked very well . It now only needs a new Floor Brush no where to be found. i worked 20 years part time at the church and the Kirbys servied me very wellEverything was carpet so when i got the G3 with power drive it was a big help.Happy hoilday to you all Doug

American Lincoln Super Sweep

I have the American Lincoln Super Sweep in olive green. My father picked it up in the trash around 1986. It needed a front nozzle plug (which he was able to get). My guess is they switched to red, white and blue for the Bicentennial?

Just Got My Kirby Com Vac

Back from Greg. It is a great machine. A takeoff of the 500 series updated. All the great things of the 500 series with an F&G bag. From the time of the Heritage.

Something I've always wondered about the Comvac, never having seen one "in the flesh" -- does the headlight housing lift up? Or is it permanently in the "down" position?

And is the rug nozzle permanently attached, as with the Supervac and the American Lincoln?

My Super Vac 180

Here is a picture of my Super Vac 180. I had to replace the 'bojack' bag. I found a Heritage Emtor and added a Tradition Outer Bag. It works great, just needs a longer cord and a new Headlight Bumper.
