Solid White Hoover Convertible?

I've been watching a miniseries from 1978 entitled "Project:UFO." It was produced by Jack Webb (of "Dragnet" fame). The show is a bit dated but very well made overall and with good special effects.

In the episode I am now watching there's a scene with a lady using a Hoover Convertible that's all white -- base, hood, handle and bag are solid white.

I've never seen a Convertible like this. Was there one commercially produced, or was a standard Convertible painted white by the show's Prop Department?

Maybe it was intentionally made to be generic to avoid having to pay licensing fees? Make it as least recognizable as possible.

Almost certainly, you are seeing a JC Penny Convertible. I think I remember seeing these vacuums in the old Hoover vault thread. Let me see if I can find the thread again...

Yes, the JC Penney white model

In that thread, you'll see the two of them. I have oNE OF THEM> I've "displayed" it at a few mini meets.
All white, BASIC as basic can get. But, ALL Hoover.
