Do you have a sofa slip-cover that won't stay put? We do ... Every time one of us sits down or the dogs jump up, the cover gets pulled down from the back and before long it's a rumpled heap. We have to put it right at least once a day, frequently more often.

Well, today I had another brainstorm. (It's been a big day for brainstorms.) I got a long piece of hard wood, about 5 ft. long, 3 inches wide and 3/4 inches thick. I slid it under the folded rear edge of the slip cover and secured it with three jumbo clips. EUREKA! HOOVER!! ELECTROLUX!!! It works like a charm.</div>

Charles, that is a ingenious idea! I could totally see that working, because the weight of the wood would keep it in place.

For all you pet owners out there, I have a tip to get rid of pet hair. A yellow dishwashing glove works wonders to remove pet hair from clothing or upholstery. Just wipe downwards in one direction. The latex material will attract the hair like glue, & cause it to ball up, which you can piok off & throw in the garbage. Then, just take the glove & rinse under the tap, any hair on it will go down the drain. My Mom used to be a professional housekeeper with her own cleaning business for 37 years before she passed away, & this is one of many simple tricks she taught me.
