I have a Ridgid WD0670; a 6000RV & Workshop WS0600VA but don't like the corrugated hoses that come with the vac. I bought the Ridgid 4x Pro grade orange hose & like it when I'm using the 1⅞" or 1¼" accessories; but when I'm using 2½" accessories the hose clogs & vacuum power reduced. I bought a 2½" wire reinforced hose from Woodcraft, its flexible but when the hose is 'blocked' the hose length shrinks like a stretch hose would

The Ridgid VT2520 2½" & VT1720 1⅞" hoses have 'dual flex' but only the ends are flexible & the rest of hose length is stiff

I plan to buy a 1¼" generic vacuum hose, but I needed a 1⅞" or 2½" hose instead; even though I will need to use a reducing adapter for 1¼" tools

When will someone make a good quality flexible 2½" hose that I dont have to wrestle with like the stiff Ridgid VT1720 & VT2520 hoses

Hey

Centech has a 2.5" hose that is best I've tested. It's durable and doesn't clog easy.

Here's the Ridgid VT2520 hose--Tug-A-Long locking coupler is nice; but it only includes one black latch locking coupler (fits the Ridgid WD0670, WD0970 & WD1641 & Workshop WS0915VA) & I put that end on the machine end of hose

The bad part is "dual-flex" its flexible ONLY at the hose ends; the rest of the hose VERY STIFF

The Ridgid VT2570 4X Pro Grade Hose

More flexible along ENTIRE LENGTH of hose; but its smaller in diameter, too small when using 2½" wands & accessories.  It clogs easily with 2½" tools; but has smoother interior & performs better with 1⅞" tools & wands

Woodriver 2½" x 10' hose

Its VERY FLEXIBLE along ENTIRE length of hose (unlike Ridgid VT2520 hose); but the hose couplings are ONLY friction fit.  The included couplings don't swivel, meaning the hose will twist; but I purchased the hose only w/o couplings

& two HiTech Duravent 2½" hose end swivel cuffs (they twist counterclockwise onto the Woodriver 2½" diameter black hose)

The bad part is the Woodriver hose 'collapses' (shrinks when I put a object onto hose end)  However the Woodriver hose reminds me of the old Craftsman 16 gallon vac (back when shop vacuum hoses were made like the Woodriver hoses instead of stiff plastic like most of today's shop vacs)
