Restored 1945 Kirby Model 505 vacuum cleaner. This was the first Kirby that Scott & Fetzer produced after the war. This is an exceptionally nice and complete example with original attachments and boxes. Machine is all original except the bag which is reproduction. Original rubber wheels, black Bakelite belt lifters, molded handle grip, black rubber trim, phenolic Emtor door, NOS vintage horsehair brush roll, original black molded Belden cord plus additional gray molded Belden cord. Rare 505 floor polisher, Ethocel attachments, wands, and coupler, original black cloth hose. Machine was totally disassembled down to every screw and cleaned, polished, new bearings, the works! Runs like an absolute dream, just how it came to the original owner's door in 1945. Has never sucked up dust since being restored. Bag is high quality reproduction with the original extra wide bag hanger. Also comes with a partial bottle of SweetAire (though not period correct to this model). This is likely one of the nicest and most complete examples of this rare and early Kirby model you're likely to find. Comes from a clean, smoke-free home.
