Sebo Airbelt D vacuum

Tax return money got me a neat Sebo "D" series vacuum that replaces the 3.1 airbelt machines.this one is really nice-more effective and uses Filtrete bags instead of paper.It has two filters-motor safety filter in the bag compartment lid and a HEPA style filter under the machine in the base.-after the motor.The vacuum has variable speed contolled from the canister or the hose handle.I rather like this vac-could be another daily driver canister along with my TriStar.The machine came with the ET-1 powernozzle.Both the powernozzle and vacuum are black in color.when the vacuum is turned on-the speed control dial on the canister also acts as the on-off switch when the knob is pressed.A blue LED light orbits around the dial-faster at hi speed-slow at lo speed.Flashes when the unit is is turned all the way down.The Sebo US website doesn't have the info on this machine-the UK site does-but the US one has a 12A canister motor and a 175W powernozzle motor.I have a 3.1-this "D" machine is much better.It has a 1.5Gal bag-and a pack of 8 bags came with the machine.Mike liked the machine too.Will use it for a while-and see how it goes.so far after 3 days use-like it a lot.

The D machine I have has the longest cord of any cordreel vacuum-about 40ft!I can vacuum my whole place from one outlet!and like the length of its hose-you can vacuum up high without the tank unit lifting from the ground.You know get those cobwebs in the room corners or dust off high mounted light fixtures and doorbell housings,AC vents.

The Sebo would be it, I really like some of the features, but...since my newest machine is a 80s Tri Star!!! LOL

Does the exhaust from the D4 blow downward from the bottom of the unit? I thought we had finally done away with dust storms created by canister exhaust.....

I'm really lovin the flashing blue disco light, the 40 ft. cord and the full size dusting brush! At one time, Sebo made replacement roller brushes with softer bristles. If they still do then I see a new machine in my future.

The exhaust of the vacuum blows out of the "airbelt" bumper that wraps around the body of the machine.Quite clever.Sebos other canister vacuums use the same sort of exhaust system.And the cloth "belt" is replaceable when worn or dirty.

Thanks for that information about the exhaust, Rex. I now understand why the canisters are called the "air-belt." But does the air-belt properly diffuse the exhaust so that you don't get dirt blown around the sides of the unit? Does it deliver as promised?

yes,the airbelts promise what they delivor-no air blast at all.You have to hold your hand on the belt to feel the very slight movement of air coming out of it-the air is well diffused-and the airbelt goes around the entire canister.Clever design!The airbelts do not blow any unpicked up dust at all.It blows to the sides-too diffused to disturb any dust or dirt on the floor.Like the machine very much-will continue using it.and got a box of 8 bags with it.The filtrete style bags hold 1.5Gal of debris-so its going to be awhile before I use up the pack of bags.I see another D4 airbelt user here,too.And in the future if the belt gets dirty or worn-its replaceable.
