I just purchased a Royal Privilege Vacuum Cleaner. How hard are those to find? It seems they did not make many of them, since it was $240. Are they one of the rarest Royals to find? I know Royal Powercasts are hard to find as well, especially brand new. I want to use it for my floors and I'm hoping it does not have a plastic brush. If it does, I want to replace it with a wooden brush.

Thanks for the info. It looks modern, but I have a feeling not many of them were made. I think it's heavy like a Royal Powercast. I purchased it for my floors.

Eurekasanitaire, if you don't consider what name it has been made under, this isn't quite as rare as you think. This used to be a Dirt Devil Platinum Force in the early 2000's, & sold for about the same price, $250.

My Royal Privilege came in and I was surprised. It has middle suction, which I never expected. It's actually really cool looking. I think the Royal Version is more rare than the Dirt Devil Version. However, the seller did not ship it right and it is now scratched on top. Other than that, it is in brand new condition. It has been in a shed for years because it emits the smell of a shed, the smell of lawn mowers and oil. The seller never sent the original box for some reason, but at least I have the vacuum.

And it works EXCELLENT on my hard wood floors, since the bristles don't touch the floor at all. It's great for hard surfaces, which I why I purchased it. But I might use it also for my carpets.

I used the Dirt Devil version once.

It was a decent machine. Cleaned carpet well and had decent airflow. I remember it being a bit heavy and inconvenient though.
