Does anybody know where I can find those rugs in vacuum stores that have vacuum logos on them? Some of the ones I've seen are ones for Hoover, Eureka, Sharp, Sebo, and others. Whenever I try looking them up, I can't find them. I really want to one or two for my rooms.

I've been thinking the same thing!

Maybe check the websites for the brand? (if they have them)

Um

Maybe like first line is vacuum site. The second line is contact us.
You could call old vacuum shops. Ive seen a few on ebay. I've seen on craigslist too.

Dude

I seen outrageous numbers on ebay. Thats a heck of a bargain. I mean high triple digits.

Wdym by you've seen outrageous prices? Have you seen them on Ebay? If so, what search terms, if any, did you use?

Also Rugsucker, if I were to buy it (not saying I necessarily will), I'd want it vacuumed and extracted well beforehand. It also looks like it needs to be flattened somehow. In all honesty, I'm looking for a Hoover one more than anything, but I'd take what I can get for an okay price.

Rug

As I do not have time to properly clean the floor mats in my Buick this would be 'as is'. I have had a red Hoover rug but the above is probably the last one.

You mean like one of these?

Vac shops. This one came from my good friend's store that he took over (they had been a Hoover dealer for quite a few years).

Since these were never sold to the public (obviously), there are not too many out there.

My own shop was a longtime Sanitaire and Royal dealer, so we had rugs from these companies, plus Eureka, Bissell, Whirlpool, and a small counter Dirt Devil rug to demo their handheld vac.

Most of my rugs were in such poor condition they went right in the trash, especially once our current vendors (Miele, Riccar, SEBO) supplied us with new ones.

Does your area have any vac stores that you are friendly with?

Those rugs are not inexpensive. I paid over $100 for a Miele rug for my store more than 18 years ago.

As I'm retiring the end of April, it's good to know there's a market for my vacuum rugs (Dyson, Oreck, Hoover, etc.). eBay here we come. Say 'cheese' girls.

I've

Seen 2 or 3 on craigslist $300-$1000.
I seen 2 on ebay 600 and 300-500 it was being bid in but buy it now was 500.
I have not seen anything in last maybe 9 months.
Mike made doormats. I got this from him over 5 years ago.
It's from one of my you tube videos and I give myself permission to use it.

Sorry it's been a minute since I came back to this thread. Thanks for the input in the meantime. I already kind of figured that these were made exclusively for vacuum stores, but I wasn't expecting them to be so expensive on the secondhand market. I'm not scratching at the bits for one of them (and I especially don't want to pay up to $1k for one), I just thought it'd be a cool edition to my collection.

As for getting one from a vacuum store, I could do that, as I have two that are "Local", but I really don't want to be a pain in their necks. Besides, I've only been to them like a few times. Maybe someone on here has one they could let go here on the Super Market board or something.

Hoover Rug

I bought my Hoover rug from the Hoover Dealer in my old hometown who retired the end of last year. Bought it and a bunch of parts in a haul. I saw one around that time on eBay.
