Does anybody have a belt for the Royal Powercast they'd be willing to sell? A friend of mine has a Powercast and the belt broke on it. Any guidance would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Joe

I think you should be able to find those at any well-stocked vacuum store. We have a bunch of those cogged belts.

I need one

If you could sell me one i would appreciate it. I have been challenged to pit my Kirby G4 against the Powercast, but I won't do it unless the Powercast has a good belt and a good bag. My Kirby will have both. Who do you think will win? I'm betting on my Kirby.

I betting on the Kirby as well-and the Kirby will use FAR less power than the Powercast-If you use the Powercast-make sure no other appliances are running on that circuit. The Powercast draws about 15A while working.

We're closed on Monday so the earliest I could ship you one is Tuesday... you might want to see if someone else could get you one faster.

The Powercasts seem to clean fairly well when they're not broken, but I'll bet the Kirby will do better. That's mighty fair of you to make sure the oponent is is good shape as well.

Tuesday is fine ...

My friend is using his Mom's Oreck now, since the Powercast is down. Thanks for the complement. I always try to be fair when it comes to comparing one vac to another. Even when I sold Kirby for a living, I always carried a few belts and bags (Genuine Eureka F & G and Hoover type A and C bags and belts for both in my kit. By far the most popular at that time). Even if they didn't buy the Kirby, at least their present cleaner got a free tune up, and it was a fair test. I think it helped. People seemed to trust me more after when they saw I really believed in my product. I also never ever put their vacuum down. Just did the best demo I could, and let the Kirby speak for itself. I'll e-mail you Tuesday with my CC info and order the belt and some bags too if you have them. Thanks again.

Joe & being fair...

Hey Joe,

I commend you as well, for being fair in checking & replacing bags & belts on customer's machines before using them.

I also would check/change their machine's bag/belt before any tests.

I didn't carry 'other' brands of supplies, as I didn't want any contamination or infections of the Kirby products. ~~lol~~ (RELAX Rick, & others, I'm only teasing!!!) ~~lol~~

I would ask the customer before I even got set-up, if they had a replacement bag & belt; & I was going to do a quick courtesy check of their machine for them.

If they didn't, & they had a full or semi-full bag, I would literally dig the 'stuff' out of the bag or open a seam to empty it then staple & tape it back up. I wanted their machine to be working in as peak as possible (at the time) condition before any comparison tests.

It was being nice, business smart & THE RIGHT THING TO DO. (Golden Rule)

Again Joe, kudos to you.

Cheers & hagn all,

Bill

I also used to do minor fix up in customers vacuums when me and George used to sell TriStars-we would replace things such as bags and belts in customers machines so they could be fairly compared to the TriStar.I would be the "repairman".
