I have a royal m5000 that probably needs cleaning of the motor and fan. Can anybody walk me through how to get the motor out to clean it?

On the newer (1.8 amp) machines there's not a lot of room involved regarding motor repair, sadly. Carbon brushes seem to be the only fix involved. Good luck!

Thanks Ben. The motor is fine but I just wanted to clean it out to improve suction because there might be crap around the fan that I can easily clean out

The M5000 Prince was produced from 1987 to 1996. If your example does not have the switch guard, it will be made April 1988 or earlier.
