Regina 3 speed find

A couple days ago me and my wife were out doing "thrift shop runs" in another town, and we came across this Regina 3 speed! It was intrigueing, I've never owned a regina or a sweeper that old. It seems to work absolutely fine, wife used it to sweep the kitchen and it had no problems. It's kinda funny on the back of the bag it says somethibg to the effect of that the pattern on the bag is inspired from art from the 1700's. It was only $10!

Have mercy, that's brand new compared to my vacuums!!LOL Those are pretty good believe it or not.

Regina Electric Broom 1970-80

Those Regina Electric Broom 3 speed are built like tank a friend of mine had one lasted a long time before it quit

the last number of your 3 digit serial number will be the year it was made. Only thing is you will need to know what decade it's from.



Example if your number is 546 thats going to either be 1976 or 1986

I can tell you this will be from the later 70s or very early 80s so just remember the last number and you will have the year.

You have a real GEM there! I have that EXACT same model (which I believe is from the 70's). Growing up, my grandfather had this model and I LOVED to run it whenever I came to visit with my parents. I usually had to pretend I was running it since they aren't the quietest machines on the planet, but from time to time I'd get to plug it in and run it which was a BIG thrill to me! After he passed and his estate was divided, I couldn't begin to tell you what happened to that broom, but I was determined to find another one, which I did a few years ago. Mine runs like a top on all speeds and I keep it handy for quick pick-ups (such as when the little one's dump cereal all over the floor!). Awesome little machines for what they are and that design is very special to me!

I'm going to hazard a guess that this broom was made sometime during 1978. I have several just like it.

Does it use disposable bags or shake out? I have a couple of packages of Regina bags that I know go to a stick vac and several packages of Regina Housekeeper bags as well.

If anyone is interested in the bags, let me know.

It has a cup that you have to empty.

Our neighbor had one of those to clean just her low pile kitchen carpet back in the 70s.  


 


Carpeting ones kitchen with a commercial grade carpet was something that was done back then (assuming you didn't have frequent spills), and these type vacs were good for that.
