Rebuilt Kirby 2C 1936 (FOR SALE)

The reason I'm saying it doesn't have mismatched parts is because most Kirbys that have been rebuilt have that handle and that bag. Thats just the parts that used in the process. They're not from 1936 but they are original from the rebuild, which I stated clearly. If you're not interested then that's okay, your loss. Not everything on this unit is 80 years old, but everything on it is at least 50 years old.

Just to let you know,

Kirby rebuilt EVERY MODEL in ORIGINAL colors all the way up until 1970!
The cord is a brand new black cord, and the handle pole should be wooden, and the wheels would have still been black in 1966,,,,,ALSO you can see that the rebuilding tag has been tampered with as it would not be that badly scratched up by using it on the rug!

If Kirby rebuilt everything in original colors and parts then how come the only other Kirby rebuild on eBay has the exact same replacement parts? I talked to someone from a Kirby store who owned many machines from this era and he was very certain about the fact that it was given those parts in the rebuild process. All the evidence points to that.

You have inspired me

To take pictures of my ORIGINAL, non rebuilt model 1C, and list it on eBay (with the original bag and cord) for $1000.00 as well. If that mismatched jumbled up machine with ugly wheels and bag can get a serious $1000.00 offer, hell I know my museum quality model can.

I understand that is the price you've offered it for. The issue you're going to run into that no one has explicitly told you is: If someone here is not interested in the machine, or if we've told you what the issues are with it...it isn't going to sell. We are a group are the buyers of all of the vintage vacuums online. Sure, there may be some members not here on the forum any longer...but the majority of us are here. We're the buyers, the sellers, the restorers. We are the walking knowledge of all things vacuum. Besides some differing of opinion between a few people on which parts are on your machine, they're still incorrect parts.

The value of your Kirby lies in having an Original Bag first off. An original cord, and even wheels. The problem is you have none of those things, and while you have an excellent project for a collector to find those parts; you do not have a complete machine for any of us to spend $1000 on.

Best of luck to you.

Here is...

The 2C I passed on recently at $200. I may go back for it, I may not. But it is there, and probably not going absolutely anywhere for a long time.

Kyle, you nailed it eloquently and without being snide or hateful. I have to tell ya, I'd nab that 2C for 200.00, and if that is leased space at an antique mall, ask to contact the seller, they may take less!

Question--For the 1 grand price and $200 prices-------DO THESE MACHINES HAVE THEIR ATTACHMENTS???I would not pay those prices unless the machine has the ORIGINAL parts-in like NIB condition, and has the attachments-orig at that.Otherwise its swap shop prices!
