VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Interesting survey. My only question is regarding the one containing the phrase "culture of indispensibility". Are you trying to ers see more profit in selling consumers a new vacuum cleaner every few years than suggest that our society regards vacuum cleaners as something we cannot live without? Or was the question supposed to address a culture of disposability, in which our society regards vacuum cleaners as throwaway items? I answered it both ways, just in case.

Sorry, my cat walked across my keyboard as I was submitting my response above, and she managed to paste in part of my answer to the question I was addressing. My post above should have read as follows:

I

Believe the main part of the culture as vacuums bring dirty. They pick up dirty things. Cleaning a machine that's made to clean I believe is the root of the problem.
People don't think its just the concept.

Curious.

Isn't putting out this survey going to skew the results away from what the average person thinks? I guess I'm not sure exactly what you're using the data to do or what point you're trying to make. I'm just seeing it as putting this out towards a group with a notable bias.

Yes

To have a accurate scientific question you need a baseline d of unbiased people. If not it shoots the hypothesis bye bye. Idk if you care and your already aware of this and just want to pass the class

My college bachelors degree senior capstone was implementing efficiency. We moved his work bench put tape around every tool. We framed a drywall 2 rooks and painted. In short it was free labor. I didn't care because he wrote the paper we all put about15 hours of labor in. We were all handy as we had 2 4 credit hour classes building houses for habitat for humanity.

I betq

It had a question without Hoover in it. It was definitely a security risk for you and england where they Hoover all there carpets....

Yeah, I will post another version of the Survey on Facebook. Not in any Vacuum Groups. Just the general Facebook web. Addressing the Bias and will not include the Stats from here in my Final.

It’s okay if you can’t take it. But how would a Security risk come up? I’m not recording any Emails for privacy and you should never put passwords through Google Forms (Which is what I’m using).

Post

Another link and I'll gladly take quiz. I'll even have my wife do it to too help your survey out.

I’d like more help please.

So. Can someone give me a set of Vacuums from common brands so I can look into prices on Repair Vs Buying New please? It’s part of my Argument against Vacuums in Throwaway Culture and it’s my Final.
