I found this at the curb on my way home last night along with a cheapo Eureka and a broken water heater. The water heater is in my scrap pile and I cleaned up the Eureka that needed nothing at all and put it on Craigslist. This little number though needs a bit more work. It runs but it needs a new belt, new light bulb, and it needs to be completely taken apart and cleaned. The bumper is falling off too. The bag is almost new, though. I'll be re-selling it, it's not exactly my cup of tea but you can't let a good vacuum die!

Any info on it? Manufacture date? I'm guessing mid 90's. What should I expect to get for this? $60?

I like them, very good on suction and carpeting.(better than anything you find in big box stores like walmart, etc.) Yes it is from the mid 90's, my guess is a 94 model. Since it doesn't have any attchments on it and that some of the decals are scratched up, it may be way less than $60 in my opinion.

Oh...

Good eye on the attachments! What decals? The only decals I see if the information decal on the back and the gold lettering on the lid? Both are in good shape?

I'll work on it tonight and see how it turns out.

Why do you think it is a 1994 model? I'm eager to learn!

Well...

.
I would expect it to fetch $20-$25...maybe.
I would clean it up very well, and make sure you say that a lot in your ad.
The bumper will have to be fixed if possible or forget the $20.
That's in my experience, your milage may vary.
Used vacuums are a bad way to get rich but a very good way to fill a perfectly good garage with filty cast-offs.
Parting it on Ebay may get you more but will take a lot of time, good luck!

Tonight...

...I called our local vacuum shop, Vacs n' Videos, and they have the bulb and belt. For $5 total in parts. Now I've started tearing it apart. Let me tell you now this was the filthiest vacuum I ever dismantled. I have to wonder just WHERE this thing was sitting and for how LONG!

The battlefield of dirty parts! Everything non-electircal is destined for the dishwasher! Yes, I said "dishwasher". It's a trick we car guys use to get in trouble with our girlfriends hehehe

Alex,

I did see what you were talking about as I took this apart and looked at it up close. The lettering is there underneath all of that dirt it is faded. Good thing I enjoy bringing back good quality vintage stuff! I clearly don't do this for a living haha
