Opinions on Lindhaus

I'd just like to hear everyone's opinion on Lindhaus vacuum cleaners. Nobody really talks about them much on the forum, so I figured this would be a good discussion starter.

Personally I like them. Quiet, easy to maneuver, and relatively easy to service. I've had very few problems with my commercial upright, and the same goes for everyone I know who has one.

Lindhaus Power Nozzles

All what I can say about the Lindhaus power nozzle is that they are phenomenal. It's amazing how much more dirt/debris a Lindhaus nozzle will remove right after using some of the "better known models" on the market. Also, the Lindaus nozzle is one of the few power nozzles on the market that will stand up to commercial usage. It is a top contender in both cleaning ability and durability--not found too often in today's disposable society.

Lindhaus Power Nozzle

I have the Lindhaus power nozzle for my central vac system, the same model as the original Stealth p/n. I purchased it on eBay NIB for $55, and Im sure glad I didnt pay full price for it! It is a well built machine that Im sure will last a long time but it certainly does not clean nearly as well as one would expect judging by its cost. I appiciate how well thought out it is, its different computer boards, the way it tells you if its ajusted correctly, but for all the planning that went into this pn, why does it only have ONE row of bristles on the brush roll? Was it an over sight or just stupidity of the manufacturer? I had a Miele Red Velvet with a 236 PN made by Wessel-Werks, it blows the Lindhaus out of the water and is just as well constructed and durable. If you want a PN that is well made, well designed, and cleans amazingly well, then the Wessel-Werks PN is the one to buy. I never use the Lindhaus PN with my central vac, it was replaced by a Eureka Express PN with a VGIII, great brush strips with a beater bar, and its cleans circles around the Lindhaus, and did I mention that its at least 20 years old? Its the nozzle that goes to the Eureka Express canister my mom bought around 1986, and it took lots of abuse for the 15 years or so that the vacuum was used.

I agree! The Lindhaus PN is durable, well thought out in alot of ways but does NOT deep clean nearly as well as a Eureka VibraGroomer I, II, or III PN as a comparative example.

My aunt had a Lindhaus Power Nozzle on her central vacuum and I thought that overall, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. It really didn't pull the nap of the carpet up all that much. I liked the grooved belt though, but I don't think it worked better than her other vacuum (Royal Everlast)or any other power nozzle I've used. My local vacuum shop swore up and down that Lindhaus was the best on the market, but I don't think so. They change their opinion every few years anyway. First it was Royal, then it was Miele, then Lindhaus and now it's Riccar's Tandem Air. I imagine it'll be something new in a year or two. Anyway, I thought the Lindhaus did okay, but not good enough for the price tag.
