Y'all like my new Model G?! It was given to me by a fellow collector, already in lovely condition; all I did was give it a good cleaning and waxing.
The photos do not do it justice -- the front and rear covers are far shinier than they appear here. I hand-polished them with Noxon metal polish and OOOO-grade steeel wool then buffed with a soft cloth. Not as chrome-shiny as machine polishing but it does look really nice.
I really like the hose that came with it, even though it's not original. I don't know what vacuum cleaner it originally came with, but it's a perfect match to the color of the Model G.
Of course it purrs like a kitten! The power nozzle runs perfectly, and the main motor is as it should be -- so soft that you can't hear it over the sound of the air rushing into the floor nozzle.
It appears to be an in-between version: It has the front-loading power nozzle port and early-style Belden plug, but the hose handle has the later-style suction relief valve and the power nozzle cord is the later type that's separated at the hose handle.
