Hey everyone, new member here!
I've been lurking these past few weeks and finally settled on a username. After suppressing my vacuum obsession for many years with other hobbies, it's been sparked again recently with the knowledge of the Vacuum Museum in St. James, Missouri.
I'm sure you know, but if you don't, oh my.
I never imagined such place, and surely as a kid my mom would've had to leave me as a full-time volunteer! Back then a Kirby Classic III was my first love, following an Electrolux Silverado Deluxe 1505, Diamond Jubilee 1521, Discovery, Kirby Heritage... okay enough! More about the museum!
I went on Saturday so I couldn't tour the Tacony factory or view certain vacs, but that didn't matter, I was so ecstatic about being there I could barely function.
After walking in and being greeted, I couldn't help but explain my obsession.
Immediately Tom, the museum curator, noticed and asked about my vacuum history.
After gawking and and talking with Tom about the collection for hours, he shows me a newer machine from his collection. After a quick demo, he says he'd like me to keep it.
SAY WHAT?! YES! He gave me a vac from his personal collection!
Not only was I in shock from the museum, but now this?! WHAT A DAY!
I've been cleaning all week, falling in love again.
I can't wait to make another trip to the museum to see more!
Enough rambling, let's see pictures! Thanks again Tom, loving this tandem design!
BONUS 360 PHOTOS! I'll take more next time, or maybe even video!
