Our local independent retailers has it as the AS25 retailing at £129.99. I did think it was Dyson-esk with elements of Vax. It does feature a multi cyclonic shroud and the brush roll looks pretty decent although I can not comment on how firm the bristles are.

We have that here as the Dirt Devil Swerve. They sell for $99 but I've seen them on sale for $79. I've almost bought one several times but opted not to.

Its on Manchester Vacs, its the UK version of the Hoover 5110, its similar to a Dyson ibn terms of Swivelling neck similar to a Dyson ball, Motorised brushbar similar to a Dyson ball + motorhead
Lifetime washable filters similar to a Dyson
Bagless similar to a Dyson
Stretch hose, similar to a Dyson
Filters located in the places similar to a Dyson.
This looks like an awesome vacuum, however ManchesterVacs sell it for £128

beko1987, not just old tat

Went to Chirk, near Wrexham last Sunday, picked up a Bissell Aroma Pro Carpet Washer for £20, only used twice. Poor woman paid £200 for the thing when new!

Then later on picked up a WORKING Dyson DC04 with all accessories for £1! All it needed was a wash & it's fine. Brushroll works OK.

Haha!

On Amazon they call a 1 Litre Dust Cup Capacity Large & most people complain about Hoover Dust Manager's Small Dust Cup - which is rated at 2 Litres.

one can only imagine what it would be like if TTI got their

To be honest, I don't like Oreck Uprights, they seem overhyped, overpriced & ear-piercingly loud! Tested one at QVC Returns Store once, never again! Plus, I've never liked their principle with no tools on board, it feels weird.

They're quite hard to push around too.

Well its not as if they're anything different from classic uprights like the Hoover Junior. Granted you can add tools to the Junior but not as standard, let alone other Electrolux uprights that were made without tools.

Cant see how you would find it difficult to push though - all Orecks are light to push when switched on - some are difficult to wheel away afterwards due to the flush wheels at the back. Oreck improved that with their XL7 in the UK. I agree that they are noisy though.

Dirt Devil Swerve

I bought one of the Swerve Dirt Devil vacuums, and find it to be quite good for the price. It has decent pick up and decent suction, and I do like the cleaning ability. Only downfall is no brush roll shut off switch, but the brush motor does stop the brush when the handle is upright, automatically.

Can I see a picture of the filters, brushbar, and whats the performance compared to a Dyson Dc24? Thanks

I left a comment about this at a local retailer who sells it of 99.00 Although the sticker said £89.00 was tempted as an attractive machine but do not like the retailer. Oh Oreck has been acquired by TTI

You're a bit late of the news about Oreck - its been well documented on here when TTI took over.

As for the "Swerve," it's just a re-hash of what TTI have already produced with the Mach Air and Windtunnel Air. If it doesn't have a brush roll on/off, then its obviously a model "lower down' than what the Windtunnel Air/Mach brings.
