Hi all am kind of new here and me and wife just starting out on our vintage vacuum adventure! I was on here briefly a few years ago but sadly life took over and everything came to a halt but hey ho am starting again now so just wanted to introduce my self to everyone. We live in rural pembrokeshire in Wales so a bit out in the sticks. My name is will and my wife's name Elka who also wants to join. I have spoken to one or two members before but that was a few years ago now. Just need someone to tell us how this all works. Cheers.

Greetings Gwillim1985

I'm rather new here myself, but they're a good lot.

I see from your profile that you're looking for
Hoover Juniors. You'll be able to find a steady
supply on Ebay.co.uk I'm sure. Cheaper shipping too
than from the States, where they're rare anyway.

If you need parts, repair advice, etc., these
guys are experts.

Thanks very much :-) yeah I will be looking for parts etc..I've got one at the moment that I've just done up :-) it's going well now after much cleaning and oiling the bearings etc. I'm hoping to get another once one comes up. I really like a lot of the U S style machines especially the royals but shipping costs are a bit to high...I only have 2 machines at the moment but plan to build up our collection gradually :-)

Welcome! I'm not as active on here as I was a couple of years ago, but starting to get back into it. I have to say, I haven't been in the company of anyone here that I haven't found completely friendly. All of them are great folks that I enjoy hearing from and they have taught me a lot with their endless info. Again, welcome! Im sure you'll fit right in here! I look forward to reading more from you.

Thanks very much over the next few months I do plan to put some photos on of my latest collection :-) my wife also has a lot of other house hold items from the 50s going back to the 20s...we are both very excited to meet like minded people in the world of old vacuums and other house hold items :-)

Welcome!!! You will very much enjoy your time here.
It's wonderful that you have someone to share the hobby with. My wife thought it was so cool when I shared that part of my life with her and she now has her own little collection of vacuums.

Thanks mate :-) it's a slow process but we are both getting into the vintage world :-) the main problem we have is storing them but always manage to find a space somewhere :-)
