You asked for it, so here's some group shots of just part of my collection. First are early Hoovers, models 541, 541 Special, 700, 725, 425, 450, and 825. I no longer have the 541 Special. Next, Hoover 62, 634, and 64 Citation from the 50's. Next are some Luxes, model XII, XXX, Automatic E, G, and Special. The Special is gone and the XII has been replaced with a nicer one. Then we have Kirbys, model 512, 517, 2 D-50's, D-80, Classic, and Classic III. One of the D-50's went with my son when he bought his home and moved out.
Next is an ensemble in red & black, Royal models 153, 189 hybrid, and 157 hand vac, with the attachments for the uprights. I call the 189 a hybrid because it has a 601 motor but the rest of it is 189. I do still have the motor from the 189 but it needs some work. Then we have some newer Royals, models 601, 801, 603, 606, 801, 602, and 883. The 601 is the ONLY Royal in my collection that says Royal Vacuum Cleaner Co. on the data plate. All others either say P.A. Geier Co. or Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. on the plate.
This brings us to Electro-Hygiene straight suction models 94, 230, and 2-230, with the 94 being a pre-war model and the other 2 being post-war models. The 2-230 is actually an updated version of the 230 and was built from 1953-55. And finally, newer Electro-Hygienes, with 3 model 285's (one each from the mid to late 50's, 60's, and 70's,) model 777, model 880 from 1966-68, 890, and 980. The 980 is the one with the removable nozzle similar to a Kirby. These pics are just part of my collection, I do have many other tanks, cannisters, uprights, and hand vacs. Most are individually pictured, but if you want more, I can post more. Enjoy,
Jeff
