My New Aerus Vacuums

circuit boards and perhaps getting a few more models

I agree about circuit boards in vacuums, it's just more that can fail, personally I don't even think a motor speed control is needed, if you want less suction, open the suction relief valve, it's low tech but has far less problems.
I may actually have an opportunity to obtain a few used models, does anyone know about the 2100, 6500, 7000 and ambassador 3? Did all of these use the same motor? Were these the higher end models or the lower budget models? Since I'm a collector, I'm always looking to add to the collection.

The Aerus

Bristol Virginia plant closed this year, so who knows where the new Lux is made.
Distribution is out of El Paso Texas.
All of the AB E-Lux vacuum cleaner plants in Sweden, the UK, Germany, and France are gone. Their is one in Hungary. Some parts are made there, and some imported from China.
I've never even seen an Ultra One in a shop. Plenty of Mieles, Sebos, but no Ultra One.

ultra one

The ultra one might be in some stores, but you can also get it from electrolux's web site or evacuumstore.com, there are 3 models, the classic which is straight suction, this would only be good if you don't have a lot of carpets, the signature which includes an electric power nozzle, and the deluxe which has the extra things like automatic suction control and other features that I don't think really offer much benefit, actually it's more circuit boards that can fail, the deluxe also has a display I think. These are some of the quietest canisters available, I think they are around 55 DB

Some noob revived this old thread just to hurl insults???

We've known all about the Aerus Platinum for 3 years but thanks anyway.

The Ultra One is not an Aerus product. It's from Sweden-based Electrolux and not related at all to Lux International or Aerus LLC. Lux International is the descendant of the original Lux vacuum invented by Axel Wenner. The Electrolux name came later. They seperated from Sweden's Electrolux corp. years ago. Aerus LLC is the descendant of Electrolux USA which started as the subsidiary of Axel Wenner's vacuum maker. It seperated from Sweden's Electrolux during World War II and from then on made US-designed machines. They seperated forever in 1968 when Consolidated Foods bought them. They sold the Electorlux name rights back to Sweden's Electrolux corp. in 2003.

Everybody clear yet?

We know

the Ultra One is not an Aerus product, nOxXy said it was good quality.
It may even be assembled in the same plant as European Lux's, which by pictures I've seen are identical to the current Aerus.
Seems the Guardian is gone?

Hate to interrupt but...

I wonder if we can discuss this into another thread? Yesterday during my free time, this thread took me quite a long while to load because the internet I'm currently using is having issues lately and I have no idea when it will be fixed soon. But other than that, I would still love to hear you members discuss about Aerus vacuums.

Once again this thread took me a while to load

What I meant was is to create a new thread and discuss this in a shorter thread because again, I've got to use my internet strictly until it gets fixed. I've seen those other 3 older threads a few years ago when I heard the Lux Platinum came out around then. Part 2 was closed by the Webmaster and this thread should've been closed before part 2 was made, but I was surprised it didn't got closed.

The 'Lux Guardian Platinum I just bought a few weeks ago proudly exclaims on the box it was "assembled" in the US.Again have been very pleased with this vacuum-the quietness of this thing is spooky-its like using a central vacuum. You hear the noise of the air going thru the hose and the machine.Wasn't aware the Bristol site closed. If that closed--what US plant are 'Lux vacuums being built in?Did they open a site out in Dallas?I also have a brand new TriStar that exclaims on the box-"assembled" in the US-and Dallas as the headquarters-same with the Lux vacuum.Air purifiers also came with the Lux vac and they were built in the US.And both machines boxes mention "Home Solutions"The TriStar has a more powerful 9.5A motor-more than other models. Both machine I really like.Interesting the Guardian Platinum has some features just like on Miele vacuums. And I thought the Bristol site was where the TriStars were being made. Now its a mystery-Where is the "secret" TriStar-Lux factory?

Am I correct that the Bristol site is used to build TriStar vacuums?Just what machines are built there-Thought in the older days the Bristol site just built the motors that went into "Lux machines assembled in another site.
