Electrolux (Vintage) Model S Motor Brushes

Hi friends- does anyone know where I can get a new set of motor brushes for Electrolux Model S? I have looked about everywhere & looks like I may need to try to get a pair or two custom made. Yes, this is a very old cannister vacuum & runs well.

Hi Tom and welcome to Vacuumland. I'm fairly certain that the Model S and Model G motors are the same along with others of the period. An option for you is to check with the seller of this eBay auction (unknown to me) or another that you may find. https://www.ebay.com/itm/256415947602?

Does it look like these brushes would fit you Lux Model S ? The unused brushes in the photos measure .436" x .233" x 1" length. Measure with a caliper or micrometer if you have those type tools. If measuring with a tape, the results are approximately 7/16" x 1/4" X 1" length.

I believe that ebay seller as made an error when measuring the size of the brushes he is offering. Here is a message I sent to him:

Hi: Please recheck the caliper measurements. The 1.2 mm reading equates to only .047 inches which in turn is less than 1/16 inch. And the width of 4.9 mm equates to only .193inches or less than 1/4 inches. Perhaps the caliper was not properly "zeroed" while the jaws were closed. Thanks, Ron reeland​
