I knew it was gonna happen soon! To be continued... I love this vacuum and I can't wait until I can buy one. I intend to make a video showing all parts and me cleaning the house with it. Would that interest anyone? It'll be a while though. Can you imagine what the future holds for this machine? What improvements will come with the new power nozzle, etc.? I also think the sales is a surprise to Aerus, and they might start manufacture at Bristol. I don't think they expected it to take off like this.

My Local

Aerus guy says this machine is taking off he has people calling him for demo/sales
I was the very first to purchase mine from him he had just picked them up the day I called him for mine and he was shocked I knew about it .

It is going to be built in Virginia very soon mostly because of the Euro exchange rate but also they want to build it here to keep with the made in USA that Aerus is known for .

I am looking forward to the new power nozzle and will be buying it once it is released if not just buy another Platinum .

Dan

Robert thank you so do I get a prize for the longest thread ever?

Totally Dan! I'll have to come up with something. ***puts thinking cap on***

One of the most active threads... cool... cant wait to see what the new upright is about- someone here has to know something by now.

Hi Dan, my local aerus guy sails the same thing.. Sales are so far ahead of what they projected...it truly is a great machine. Wish we could keep the other thread active so it doesn't disappear.. There is a lot of good info on it that would refer back to

I am sorry. Having iPad problems again... That is suppose to be, my Aerus guy says the same thing. Sales are far ahead of what they projected.

I can't

Wait for the upright and will purchase one as soon as it is released . April is almost here besides waiting for the 100th anniversary Kirby Avilir this new
Aerus upright is just as exciting in my book .

Brian ,

Any news yet on the upright or new Platinum Power Nozzle ?

Dan 😄

Does the platinums that come out now have the new board that turns the PN off when you turn the main machine off ?

Yes

Mike they fixed it about two months ago and trust me it will be fixed on our machines .
I am going to try to call Aerus tomorrow between showing houses and find out when
they will have a fix for our machines .

They will fix this problem as they ALWAYS stand behind their products .

Dan

Thanks Dan. Not worried at all about them standing behind their products.. They always have before.

We are witnessing this generations' Renaissance. I remember when the Ren was released although I was still a kid and not quite aware of the internals of a vacuum. I experienced a Ren in an Electrolux store. I thought it's suction was incredible at the time. The Ren was easily the most advanced machine on the market during it's (admittedly brief) time. It's a shame they couldn't continue on with that amount of high tech features. The Platinum is now a technological marvel of it's own. And Aerus and Lux have patented the double HEPA technology so it cannot be copied for 20 years. Electrolux's proprietary automatic shut off technology still has not been copied, even after 50 some years. We are talking about Aerus being "back" but they never really left. I roundly criticized Aerus for steadily stripping the high end features from thier machines with each successive model after the Renaissance. However, the Ultra was not an obsolete vacuum. It was a comedown from the previous few models, but it wasn't a "bad" vacuum. The Platinum has generated excitement, which is great for Aerus. It's exciting for those of us who stood by Aerus during it's name change debacle.

Lux Epic 6500SR vs. TriStar A101 wand compatibility & compar

Why did Aerus/Electrolux change the wand style again when the Guardian Ultra came out? What's wrong with the Epic 6500SR style wands; & why didn't TriStar use the Epic 6500SR style wands instead of the Lux Guardian Ultra/TriStar A101 style?

That's the ONLY thing I dislike about a TriStar EXL & Electrolux Epic 6500 is the tools & wands aren't interchangeable. However, I still think both vacuums are great; & really like the integrated electrified wands from the Lux Epic 6500SR (current Legacy) & TriStar A101.

Has Aerus/Lux thought about making the PN housing out of die-cast aluminum like the TriStar A101 (CS)?
