Well, after my latest acquisition, a Kirby G4, and a quick re-catalogue of my vacs, I have hit the 50 mark, most of which are in full working order.
Collecting vacs is very addictive isn't it - I'm sure many will agree.
Here are a few pics of many of my vacs, I have more in the loft and other rooms, but my main vacuum room now holds 29 vacs. Other pics are older, but show some of the vacs that are now stored in the loft.

What a fantastic collection you have Steve - you should be proud of it.

Due to monetary and space restrictions my collection has stalled at 14, but that number WILL rise by this time next year, you mark my words.

Well, that's all for now - will I get to the 100 mark? just like that famous "Jaws" comment - "Your'e gonna need a bigger boat", for me it'll be, "you're gonna need a bigger house" lol

Now, over to you - lets see your best and biggest pics of YOUR vac collections???

When you think just how much each of them would have cost brand new (Especially the Kirbys) then there is several thousand pounds worth there. Of course, I very rarely paid full price, except for a few I've had from brand new, the most expensive one that I paid most for is the Miele S7510 upright which cost me £295 as an ex-display model. The 4 Kirbys cost me £130 in total - new they would have cost about £4000!
Needless to say, the room where they are stored and the access to the loft is protected by my security system lol

Wow that's a big collection Steve, it's an excellent achievement to have some many Vac's and varieties of Vacs that you like. I don't think I'll ever get to that amount, I tend to just go with the Kirby's I want and theres only so many of them I can get. At the moment I do have a couple of the same model but I think over time I'll just have one of each Kirby model not much point in having two three four of the same.

The thing with Kirbys is that each model is so similar to the last. Most Generation models are the same with the exception of colour schemes and the odd cosmetic tweak. The internals of the Sentria 2 are pretty much the same as the G4.
Similarly the Classic to Legend 2 models are much the same as they use the same platform, with minor modifications on each change.
Kirbys are like Volvo's - they never seem to change much, rather evolving along the way.

Well, you know Volvos are built like the proverbial "Brick ****house" - so are Kirbys. I could drop a Kirby down the stairs and it would still work afterwards (even if the handle gets a little bent) - do that to a Dyson and this is what it would look like:

Apparently Dyson's Customer Service is pretty unsupportive of any problems you may talk to them about these days. Their products come with a 5 year guarantee also.

Dyson is actually quite good at honouring the warranties - Vax are dreadful though, maybe because so many Vax owners have problems with them that Vax's switchboards are always jammed up with moaning customers whose machines have packed up in the first year.
