Nice

Nice find:o)I like finding NIB vacuum cleaners. I got hold of a new in box Electrolux Widetrack in black a few years ago. But I never opened it. It was bout early 1997 from Alders. Who ever bought it bout two of them as it say 2 of 2 on the invoice which was stuck to the box.

I'm sure you will enjoy your new find and look after it.
Good job you found it. Imagine if a regular person got it first. It's important to keep some machines in great condition for future generations:o)

Yeah, a good run round the garden keeps it going everyday. So cool to see the grass spinning round!

Im glad I got it to be honest, these type of machines are pretty neat. Its nice that you found the widetrack NIB, I just couldn't help myself from opening my Boss.

What new finds have you got then James?

The origins of this vac lie in the debut of a sleek bagged upright by Eureka in the 1990's. It was called the Eureka Victory and I think it was Eureka's second clean-air, bag first bypass upright after the Excalibur. This Victory featured a "Back-Saver" handle which was bent in a certain way to allow you to get under furniture without too much stooping. It had the same on-board hose as this Electrolux which allowed you to grab it at any time for above the floor cleaning, similar to Panasonic's "Quick Draw" hose.

It only rated a mediocre "good" for carpet cleaning in Consumer Reports testing, and I was never a fan of the cheap combination dusting brush/upholstery nozzle which stored on the back of the handle.

At some point, Eureka adapted the design to create a bagless version featuring the dust container shown on this Electrolux. They branded this "The Whirlwind."

That's a bit of the history of this vac!

dysondestijl I have an Electrolux Cyclone Power Plus if you want to but it. Needs some attachments but it works & you said you wanted one. It's got a bigger bin than this one but look in the pic & see what you think.
