I recently got this brand new Electrolux The Boss vacuum cleaner. Quite rare to see these brand new in the box. I really like these models; shame they have quite a few flaws which usually mean they end up with broken bins, clogged and bearings that screech.
Here it is as I had just unboxed it.

Cool, when I was a kid a friend had one of these in a different colour, I used to vacuum up all the cat litter mess that the cat kicked everywhere lol. It used to make a right racket and vibrated a lot. Probably needed the bearings sorted out. Was never all too good on carpet to be honest! But it had quite a bit of suction, did a good job with the attachments. Nice to see a nother one!

Yes,the bearings do go so easily on these. The dust cup system is not the best and a lot of dirt leaks into the motor.
On hardfloor the stiff bristles do put out quite a racket which has to be noisier then a clutchless dyson.

Eureka Whirlwind

These were quite popular here in the USA. I saw them much more often than the Hoover Windtunnel bagless models. It is my understanding these cleaned well, but from personal experience I know the filtration was really terrible. I had to repair one of these once, and every single filter was caked with thick dust, including the post-motor HEPA filter. The Whirlwind Lightspeeds were much better. Those had a huge HEPA filter, plus a washable pleated pre-motor filter.

No matter what you think of the vacuum, opening NIB machines is always fun. I hope you enjoy it.

I really do like this machine, but its got limited use because I know what they end up like from experiance. Its not like I dislike these machines at all, infact I have been on the search for a good one for a long while. These type of vacuums are my favourite.
As you can tell its not everyday you get to open one of these brand new from the box;I was delighted!
Thanks for your Input!

Yes deffintaley get one, they where quite a competitor to Dyson! It's amazing how they stretched the dual cyclones from a Dyson across into a sneaky design.
Does anyone else have the history of these machines?
