The DC14 is no longer on sale, so how exactly is the custome
Manchestervacs is not saying that the customer should use a DC14. Just that the DC14 is an older model and its more reliable, robust and is capable of much larger tasks. Plus DC14 was an extremely popular Dyson model. I still see loads of early models of DC14 around, never mind late!
Furthermore, many people shop on eBay especially for older refurbished Dysons. This is because Dyson have made an arrogant choice of discontinuing the wheeled models and bringing back the DC25 production for a budget model. That replaced the production of the DC33.
In addition, Dyson make ball machines now because there are many people buying refurbished Dysons off independent businesses who do up older Dysons. This is due to their simplicity and popularity. There are plenty more fish in the sea. Dyson even discontinued parts and support for all Dual Cyclone machines now as for January 2015. There are still many DC01's in use despite the parts and support for them being put to an end in July 2011. If you don't believe me, check eBay to see how many there are.
In conclusion, there are so many people who prefer the older machines that Dyson are losing out on their sales. DC14 being one if the most popular of the older models. This shows how easy it is for somebody to buy one, or even how likely it is that somebody may even own one.
