you can see the bin is completely and he's probably using it until it stops picking up until it's completely full and stop sticking up that's when it starts clogging up.

mine has never clogged up he probably use it once a week and it picks up so match in 1 go it cloggs up.

The guy in the video does make some good points. BUT picking up a piece of wire & bits of hay?! Hmm, call me crazy, but maybe he should think about picking those bits up BEFORE he runs the vacuum! That is the reason why it clogged to begin with, because they got jammed inside & allowed the pet hair to collect around it. Plus, if he's going to fault Dyson for their design, then he may as well just have fault with every other hand vacuum on the market, since many are cheaply designed these days.

excuse me dyson is No poorly designed. it sounds like you're trying to start an argument.and what's the point no one talking about kirby so there is no need to talk about and this thread has nothing to do about kirby.

you're not stating facts he did not say anything about the quality on a plastic just talking about how it plugged up and howie for the head with a bad design and that's nothing to do with their main vacuumsand i did watch the video did you.

The bloke is using it for stuff a DC14 would be better suited to.

They are designed for zapping around wooden floors and the like in apartments, not cleaning up detritus from rabbits. People make the mistake - probably because of the marketing - if thinking they can use hand-helds like they would a 'proper' cleaner, and they are simply not up to it.

DC44 is a vacuum for use in between normal vacuuming. Like between breakfast and lunch, you have a snack. Its like that really, so that should not see big messes to vacuum up, especially things like hay.

I am not the only one...

on here that have stated how bad the quality is on the newer Dysons. There have been several others on here that have said that. Here's a couple of videos that show DC41 poor design:

these videos don't really show anything i just saw a few people don't like and i will admit that the 41 did have a few problems but i don't really like old dc41 but these videos don't really show anythinganything.

The DC14 is no longer on sale, so how exactly is the custome

Manchestervacs is not saying that the customer should use a DC14. Just that the DC14 is an older model and its more reliable, robust and is capable of much larger tasks. Plus DC14 was an extremely popular Dyson model. I still see loads of early models of DC14 around, never mind late!

Furthermore, many people shop on eBay especially for older refurbished Dysons. This is because Dyson have made an arrogant choice of discontinuing the wheeled models and bringing back the DC25 production for a budget model. That replaced the production of the DC33.

In addition, Dyson make ball machines now because there are many people buying refurbished Dysons off independent businesses who do up older Dysons. This is due to their simplicity and popularity. There are plenty more fish in the sea. Dyson even discontinued parts and support for all Dual Cyclone machines now as for January 2015. There are still many DC01's in use despite the parts and support for them being put to an end in July 2011. If you don't believe me, check eBay to see how many there are.

In conclusion, there are so many people who prefer the older machines that Dyson are losing out on their sales. DC14 being one if the most popular of the older models. This shows how easy it is for somebody to buy one, or even how likely it is that somebody may even own one.

That was a bit of an eye opener on that Dyson Digital Slim model. Even for a cordless vacuum for quick in between clean ups the air paths through both motorised heads was very small and like the guy said in the video poor design! I do think Dyson vacuums are becoming too complex and too over engineered. Dyson just need to go back to basics they have the know how to do this. What does James Dyson say his Engineers are doing more with less!! Simplicity is sometimes the most effective and efficient way of doing something!

I have to sort of agree it is the marketing Dyson do that leads the general public to believe that these cordless vacuums can replace your mains vacuum. Mind you I've read many a comment on Dyson's Facebook page from owners complaining there Dyson doesn't pickup certain debris off the floor and Dyson advises them they shouldn't be using the vacuum for this and that and talking more on the main full size ones.
