Mid Century Hoover Film

Hi friends.

I just finished watching this film about Hoover on the internet.
It's an old company film- there is fantastic footage of the Hoovers being manufactured and tested, in one scene there is a brand new Pink Constellation being tested with a suction gauge- Who wouldn't want to make vacuum cleaners 50 ish years ago?
I wanted to share this gem of a film I found accidentally this morning.

Thanks Derek for posting! I remember the bittersweet tour the convention was given through the closed Hoover plant in North Canton, an amazing structure, that at one time employed probably thousands of people.I remember the pit in my stomach thinking about how many people must've lost their jobs at the plant and in the offices when Hoover sold out. This film was produced back in the day, when the U.S. was more of an exporter than importer. Times have certainly changed, for the younger collectors, will not have experienced all the commerce of yesteryear. I remember a time when a new Hoover was one of my top choices for a new vacuum, but now I'm glad I collect, and have the quality vacuums of yesteryear, back from a happier, richer America.
