Fitted an MD Central Vac today. The process was quite straightforward and managed to avoid pipes and cables when drilling through walls.

I fitted it in a cupboard and vented the exhaust.

It's quiet with the door closed. So no problems there.
It's very powerful and deep cleans carpets very well.

8 gallon bags will last at least 8 months.

Wish I fitted one years ago, I'm very pleased with it 😁

Two of my close friends, who sell and install central vacs, both sell Modern Day. The customers seem to like them, and both Evan and Owen continue to trade in other brands almost daily for MD systems. Congratulations on your new Central.

Thank you Tom. I'm liking it a lot so far. I have a stretch hose in the kitchen which is very handy. I thought my Miele C3 cleaned well but the central vac gives a deeper clean plus any dust that escapes the bag and the carbon dust from the motor is exhausted outside. I really like that! 😊

MD vacuums

I have a Flo Master m85, great unit. Do they make those with 220 volt motors? I think you're in the U.K. so that's probably what you got. Did you get an electric hose for an electric power nozzle or just straight suction. Enjoy the new central vac, I'm sure you will be very happy with it.
Mike

Hi Mike it is the Flo Master F700T. 700 air watts.
I thought it was going to be noisy but it isn't. No need to fit a muffler.
