Hello, going over a Pre - War Electrolux model XXX. What needs to be done to properly service the bearings and brushes and anything else that needs to be done to put this back into daily service. Thank You Bill,

Bill

I don't know if this will be of any help to you or not, since the XXX predates the Super J by 20+ years, but perhaps you can glean a little useful information from it. Personally the XXX is one of my favorite models of Electrolux (could be why I have close to 100 of them!) Anyway I digress, I have removed motors from them in the past and they are very similar. I hope this helps you some! Good luck!

bearings

If you decide to replace the bearings ,they are 37 mm and 39 mm in size. You will find you can get double sealed which means you don't have to grease them. Check your fans for metal fatigue. They usually start to show a bend in the middle of the fan blades.

38 mm is the size in the Model E on.
