Hey everyone. Impeller question for Kirby models 516 - DS 80s because there seems to be a bit of disagreement, and before I go further with my 562 restoration, I need accurate answers: The correct impeller would have 10 blades and sit level on a table (nothing sticking out from the back creating space between the table and the back of the fan), correct?

I took out a perfectly healthy aluminum fan which I prefer to reuse, but someone told me it might be wrong....

What do you say?

OK,

but there is no part number on my fan. I want to reuse what I have since it's in perfect condition. Not a matter of buying a new one.

If it's an aluminum fan the belt pully would be part of the fan. There should be a metal piece sticking out the back side of the fan (as the belt pully goes all the way through the fan) that will go into the opening of the bearing plate and seat against the bearing. When you set the fan on the table it will sit flat as the metal piece doesn't extend too far down. The metal fan would be the correct one for the 562, but since they are no longer available part #A119056S the replacement would be an Amodel fan part #119078S for models 516 thru Legend II.
