What James B. Kirby invented

was the 'Domestic Cyclone.' It was a non-electric which used a pan of water instead of a dust bag. Jim Kirby was only 22 when he invented this but would go on to create some awesome things not only vacuum cleaners. In 1908 he redesigned it to be an electric, and without the water!

If you want the complete story on James B. Kirby email me at [email protected]. I have a complete file of Kirby patents, however, not here with me. But in there is the Domestic cyclone. His first upright was called 'The Broomstick,' that was 1910.
