The rug and floor tools are different from any other Kenmore, they use a curved lower wand and attach like a Eureka.

Ohe Unique Machine!

If I'm not mistaken, this was the ONLY model of the Kenkart where the cart was actually part of the machine, instead of being added on to a tank like the earlier models. And yours is a beauty!
I actually have a copy of the 1956 Fall & Winter Sears Catalog, and this model was priced at $99.95. Two other tanks and four canisters were also offered, but oddly no uprights!

Your Guess Is As Good As Mine!

Possibly they might have listed them in the Spring & Summer Catalog, but not in the Fall & Winter book. Seems strange to me that they didn't. One possibility might be the idea that tanks and canisters were gaining such popularity during that time period that even though the uprights were available, they weren't marketing them that much.

Kenmore uprights..

Birtman built the older Kenmore uprights, they were very good streamlined machines,I have a late 40s model and it cleans as well as anything that was on the market at the time.

All your machines...

...are in really wonderful shape, Hans. Do I recognize a Lux cordwinder on the lower part of the cart?? If so, interesting idea for sure!

cordwinder

The cordwinder was a Sears option, looks like a Electrolux, but has a Kenmore molded plug on the cord.
