Jet Dry in my NEW Rainbow??

Okay, so give me the bad news. What does the foam do to the machine and what should I do if it already happened?

If the basin is overfull...

the machine makes a horrible chattering sound, and it vibrates. It is impossible to ignore and the suction is low enough that it is useless anyway.  Foaming is essentially the same thing. The spinning vanes of the separator are keeping water out, while the fans are trying to suck it in. This is Rainbow 101.  As long as the machine is shut off right away, there should not be any damage.


 


It only takes one drop of Jet Dry to be effective.  I have noticed the DAF foaming if I use more than the recommended amount, 1 cap per quart.

New Model Rainbow,,,, Hose

Can someone tell me how long the hose is on the new rainbow?

I have looked at the rainbow website, and checked under specifications and can not find this info.

The new hose I think is 12 inches longer than the previous ones I think.


OH.............And about the Rexair green bottle of DAF, I have to use LESS than even the recommended amount, or it STILL foams, I literally have to use drops of it. The directions say 2 cap fulls (foams way too much) so I dropped it to one cap full (still foams way too much), so I stopped using it. The only way it doesn't foam is if I use a few drops of it. And I have hard water. I thought it was just a bad bottle I have but Rob mentioned to me that he notices it foaming too even with the recommended amount.

New Model Rainbow options

Those that have the new rainbow, can I purchase the vac with the 14 ft hose instead of the one it comes with, or do I have to purchase that as an extra item?

Also the 4 qt water pan,,instead of the 2 qt.

I just measured my hose. It is 97 inches or 8 ft end to end.
I am not sure about the 14 ft hose. You might want to check with Ken Bashford as he is very accomodating with the Rainbow Sales and he gives very fair prices for extra equipment.
Unless you have a special need for the 4 quart basin,the new Aquamate and Rainbowjet formula's are very concentrated and found I did not have the need for the 4 quart basin in this new Rainbow. It will of course add more weight to the machine. Just a thought.
