RARELY do I fall for shopping manipulation, but these looked so cool, I wanted to try this..My house doesn't smell bad and I rarely use things like this, but I remember a long time ago I had pumpkin spice potpourri and when I walked in from outside it was so subtle, but it smelled so freaking good. Anyone who came over would always say how great my house smelled. So I got the pumpkin spice here. I was flipping through and I watched the demo and I kept going to the website to buy, then I said no, then I went back and forth like 8 times until I finally bought one...

you can watch the demo here if you're bored, scroll to bottom of the pic for vids.

haha yea

- can't tell you how many times I've been on the very dangerous edge of buying something, but talk myself out of it at the last minute.

it looks like they went up. Last night it was 29.95 for 2 units and 12 scented hearts/free ship. Now it's 39.95

I bought the orange one as well. For what one wax warmer sells in the store it was a great deal and I plan on using wax melts from Yankee Candle. The vacuum she sells under her brand is a joke. I like watching the shopping channels (HSN,QVC,Evine), but they certainly can make you roll your eyes with all their claims.

My mom loves these scent wax warmers

She has them all over her house, and yes, they do emit a very fragrant and all-encompassing scent. I'm sure the pumpkin one smells delicious. Enjoy and please take and share a pic when you set it up in your home! That's a very nice warmer.

Incidentally, I remember Oprah doing an exposé on scented candles many years ago. She found that the scent combination of pumpkin pie and lavender increases blood flow to the... ahem... well you know. I was like, wow, I know I like pumpkin pie, but I didn't know I like it THAT much!

:-)

I didn't even know she sold

a vacuum....LOL

I will take pic. I've never used a wax warmer, so this is new to me. I was under the impression that I had to buy the heart scents to use in this. So I can buy any wax warmer scents to use in this? I'm also wondering after you use one and want to use another, what's the cleanup like? I imagining you just heat, pour out, wipe it out while it's in a melted state.....they never really went over this..but that seems to be the way it would be done. Additionally, the bulbs - are these standard. I wonder how long the bulbs are supposed to last?

Wax warmer scents

Nope, you can use any wax scent tabs you find and like. I would be a bit choosy, because some wax scent tabs will be dramatically stronger than others. Trust your nose!

The cleanup is usually pretty easy. Once the wax has melted mostly away, you can wipe it out with a paper towel while still warm, or wash it as you wash dishes, and you're ready for a new wax tab. I believe bulbs are standard, not the large ones you put in a light socket, but a smaller bulb that gets a bit of heat to it. Bulbs can last quite a long time, depending on how often you use it. Every warmer is a little different, definitely refer to your owner's manual.

Received today

I actually put one away because I only plan on using one.

The unit seems to work great and looks and feels exactly like I imagined from the demo on TV. But the two 6 pack of heart scents break apart unevenly. No big deal as I just put the broken pieces into the warmer guestimating what one heart would be and they melt. I won't be buying her scents once I'm done with this because this pumpkin spice scent is just OK to me! I almost wonder since I have essential oils if I could place a few drops of that in the melted wax to give it a different smell. At any rate, if anyone has any suggestions of the best scents and where to buy them.....I hate perfume smells though.

I get all my wax melts and candles from Party Lite....I don't know if it exists in the USA. Party Lite products are sold through home parties just like rubbermaid used to be, etc. They make all kinds of candles and holders. A little on the pricey side but well worth it. And the candles last much longer than candles you buy at Walmart, etc.

Gary

PS. yup look likes there is a US version.

Mine says it shipped from TN

and I'm in Lexington so maybe that's why I received it so quickly? It was free shipping too, so that kind of surprised me.

Thanks for those links! I'm thinking the Yankee Candle Melts will be better than these melts that came with this. It says they last 8 hrs but I'm thinking it will be much longer than that because I ran this for 3 hours last night, and turned it off...I can still smell it and it's hours later and not even on at the moment.

Scentsy wax cubes are awesome but pricy. Yankee candle tarts may or may not work in your particular warmer because they are a harder wax that is designed to be melted over a tealight candle. I have several warmers and the yankee tarts work in some but not others. The ones from Walmart are pretty good too, and you can sniff the scents before you buy :)

Honestly

I think I would be surprised if the Yankee Candle melts did not work because this thing gets pretty warm - almost hot to the touch but still not what I would say "too hot" to touch, like a few points past what I would call warm. I'm glad you told me this because I was going to buy MORE than one..

Yes you would get 5 trays or 45 melts. I usually use 2 melts at a time and I can have the warmer on all day (10-12 hrs). What I like is that I can use the warmer for a couple of hours, turn it off, turn it back on later or the next day...so convenient. Sometimes I will also mix 2 different scents.

Gary

I'm still on the first pumpkin spice melt

LOL! I got this days ago......I literally can turn it on for a couple of hours per day, and I smell it all day! Even when it's OFF the next day, before turning it back on" I still can smell it.

I got mine today. Just turned it on. So far nothing negative except the orange scent is not what I thought it would be. I bought some Yankee Candle tarts when I went to the mall this week and will try one in it tomorrow.

Ryan -

the Pumpkin isn't what I thought it would be either....PLEASE let me know if the Yankee candle melts work in this because someone said they don't work in some warmers, but I'm sure they will

thanks

The Yankee Candle tarts work. It does take longer to melt, but that's expected since it is more wax. The scent is soo much better than what came with it.

They are also $1.99 in store. To me all there scents are great. Especially their Fall (expect Halloween scents) and Winter scents. It all depends what your preference is. I got 3 Christmas scents and 1 called November Rain which is what I'm using now and it smells amazing. I do recommend going in the store just to smell them to get an idea. Then you could by online.

So I went ahead and bought these scents

from Yankee Candle

-Lush Berries
-Blueberry Scone
-Eucalyptus
-Lavender Vanilla
-Magical Frosted Forest
@ $1.99/ea , they are expensive. Hopefully they act like these and I can get by with one melt for a week or more, because I don't keep the warmer on constantly. All the scents I chose got great reviews except Eucalyptus was mixed; some said it was weak. I'm wondering since I have Eucalyptus essential oil if I could add a few drops to the tart while it's in the warmer? I mean, I'm sure the oils they use in these tars are partly essential oils anyway, wouldn't you think?

Those sound like winners to me! I'm sure you could. I have some essential oil for my Rainbow. I'll have to try that as well and see how it works.

If you find the Yankee tarts work for you, you don't have to use the whole tart at once... I can use 1/2 of one and the scent is good. They break/crumble easily, and I crumble them rather than just dropping in a chunk. Cranberry Chutney, Pink Sands, Midsummer's Night, and Chocolate Layer Cake are also good. Scentsy are $5 for a package of 8 cubes, but totally worth it, some of their scents blow Yankee out of the water!

Yea

looking at the picture, the tart itself looks bigger than the "hearts" that came with the warmer I bought. So I was thinking the same thing, almost like one Yankee tart would equal 3 hearts? I dunno. But this FIRST heart is still working. I have it on now and it's just as strong now as the day I got it. I don't leave it on too long at a time. Maybe 2 hrs. I noticed you can buy warmers almost anywhere, but looking at the prices, for what I got for 2 of them and the 2 pack of scents wasn't really a bad deal. But if I had to do it over, I could have just gotten ONE warmer and some scents from wherever. Are the Scentsy cubes smaller than the tart? You said $5 for package of 8 cubes. That doesn't sound expensive. The Yankee tarts are 1.99/ea, unless the cubes are a lot smaller.
