I just really don't understand why the new Numatic's have removable faces and that you can mix 'n' muddle, why?! I don't see any point in it at all, all be it, It looks quite funky.
Maybe Numatic wanted a 3D look and found it was cheaper to make it removable than to mould it into the bucket, that is the only thing I can think of, as it would be expensive to make new moulds for all their different bucket designs.
I understand the parking feature, that makes sense, but this clip on face seems a little bit bizarre.

cost

Alex, as there is no usefulness for the end user, it can only be that it is cheaper to make the containers this way. If you think about it, the whole stage of printing faces has now been eradicated, saving money in labour mainly, and the packer on the production line simply throws in clip-on face as they cleaner is parceled up. It means that Numatic will also no longer have to hold stock of cleaner bases which have faces and those which don't, which again when you consider it would have meant at least nine separate options - at least five colours, most in two choices (face or faceless). Now it will just be five choices, all faceless.

As is sometimes the case, as "sideways" improvement on a product often gets passed off as something useful for the consumer.

However, I am now in the dark as to what your question is about. Aside from your own requiremnets, would there be much demand for, say, a red base with green face?

Thanks Benny. Well you see, I was sure I read somewhere that Numatic said you could swap them around if ever you felt like it, but I could be wrong.
Surely they are not saving any money because money they saved in "labour" they now have to spend on plastic for the face transfer to situate onto. And, initially the 3 different moulds, For the faces. Not to mention spending extra money on the parking facility.

Ah well you see, I expect it will have proven to be much cheaper overall to have the faces made up (possibly by a 3rd party) and delivered, than it would to print the face on. The clip-on face has no value whatsoever for the end user, so would be totally pointless to make the change if it saved no money.

The parking facility on the other hand is something which a user may well take advantage of. And as a good deal of Numatic cleaners are used in industry - meaning the floor tools wear out very quickly- it was very clever of Numatic to add this feature as it means anyone replacing the floor tool will need to buy a genuine Numatic tool in order to make use of the feature. This is, of course, until a pattern part becomes available. Having said that, I doubt most commercial purchasers will care - they will just buy the cheapest tools which fit, but some may buy a genuine part.

Yes your right, I am now wondering of they just made it possible for the combination nozzle or if they have the parking feature for the Airobrush too.

Imagine using a faceless Henry, boring!!!
I think the face gives the Henry a bit of personification to.

Airo brushes don't have a parking thing.

I have a 2013 Henry Xtra I like it though when I got it I found out there was a crack on the floor brush which made a horrible noise
