Mmm Pot calling Kettle black there, Jamie..one only needs to look at your previous threads going on and on about your Hoover Senior Ranger.

Chris has summoned up the nature of this thread as eloquently and as neutral as any other member on this thread can. It isn't the fault of Citroenbx to form the opinion he has expressed.

Latterly too, we see examples on here of cherished vacuums by collectors who probably have vacuums that are older than the Turbomaster, but there is a distinct difference both by collector's vacuums and those owned by the average family who just see the vacuum cleaner AS a domestic appliance.

Of course one can argue easily that a vacuum cleaner's longevity depends very much on the existing parts it uses compared to the parts that might have had to be replaced over a period of time to keep it going - can one agree then that the Turbomaster has really lasted that long? Or has it stayed with ONE family where it gives performance year after year surviving on its original parts.

Same with my parents X1 - it is 15 years old this year and has been kept in the family, passed from member to member before it was returned to me last year. The SEBO has only required one drive belt in its life time. Thus, do I feel that the SEBO X series has lasted for 10 years or the original 13 years when it was with my family and required that one replacement to keep it going? Of course not because it has only required ONE major repair in all those years of ownership.

Erhh by the way...

Jmmurray, I think the word you're looking for is HORRENDOUS. As is your spelling by all accounts.

It wouldn't surprise me if citreon has Aspergers, I do and it doesn't make me any different.

but the constant posts of DC01's

I agree, Dan. That and the threads with pictures of other people's vacuums in them. But as I said above, maybe if it what citroenbx was trying to say was clearer, we might not have such an issue. It's sometimes quite hard to decifer what citroenbx is hoping to gain from their posts. I'm sure that whatever he/she is trying to say makes perfect sense in citroenbx's head, but just isn't coming across very well online.

Precisely, Adam. And there is no reason why you should be treated differently to anybody else on here. The same rules apply to everyone.

Of course, for those with learning difficulties, we can all make allowances as long as that person is trying their best to make sure that what they are saying makes sense and is relevant. But it is quite obvious that a lot of posts along these lines are a bit pointless.

The original post here reads like citroenbx is telling us machines that they/their family members have previously owned and used, but that is what our personal member profiles are for and wouldn't really warrant a thread of it's own unless a specific question is asked like "what was your childhood vacuum" or "what did your relatives have?" etc, which doesn't seem to be the case here.

"Mmm Pot calling Kettle black there, Jamie..one only needs to look at your previous threads going on and on about your Hoover Senior Ranger."

When did I mention his fascination with DC01s? I criticised his grammar only.

"Jmmurray, I think the word you're looking for is HORRENDOUS. As is your spelling by all accounts."

Could you please show me an example where my spelling is horrendous? I'd really like to see it.
